Monday, Monday oh how I love Monday's... Sending the kids off to school, my hubby off to work, doing my chores, and then time to play, play, play.... Alone,,, oh how I love it... This vintage photo of a girls face is my absolute FAVORATE to use in the world, so innocent and pure, don't cha think? I have gotten one persons paper dolls so far, Amy's and they are big and beautiful and embellished to the t.... Should be receiving more everyday, don't forget to get them into me. This is a picture of one of my favorate paper dolls I made... Saturday we went to Unviersal City walk for my son Cagney's 16th B-day, he brought friends and we had lunch at Hard Rock Cafe, it wasss so much fun...
Here is a picture of his friends and us. Then my hubby and I, then a picture of me, Cagney and Terry.... My baby is growing up to fast... The last picture is of Quinn locked up... LOL Gotta go finish playing before the kids come home from school
Sorry I am such a bad blogger, but have I had a busy week. David my step son came and stayed with us a few days and it was cool, actually all five of my boys and my hubby and I went to the bowling alley and the movies, it was great, since the two oldest are out of the house this hasn't happened in a long time. Then we went to watch super bowl at my inlaws, I decided to go to the paper post at south coast plaza and ended up running into the side of a car in the parking lot, no damage to me (cuz of my huge truck) but they had a good size dent... (But oh I got some awesome papers and such) lol... Then I broke one of my teeth at the movie theaters eating some ressee pieces..
The first picture is of David playing the guitar, and then mommie, David and my gorgous granddaughter June. Look at her gorgous blue eyes, oh and look at hers next to my hubby's Terrys, both the same blue. My youngest son was suspended from school again, we have been struggling with him not being able to sit still in school and such for almost a year now. Well I finally gave in and took him to a psychiatrist and they put him on medication, and it has been three days now and he has had NOOOO PROBLEMS what so ever at school, I see such a big difference, we fought putting him on meds for so long and now I'm sorry I waited so long. A few craft pictures, a bunch of valentine fabric stuff I was working on. Oh and the antique store by me called "Mora's" oh she got in such treasures it drove me nuts, I had to get some, vintage valentines, german scrap, look at the cute doll head picks, I got vintage stampings, vintage nailhead beads, buckles, bakelite bow, old jar. This is all that I got this time, but they had soooo much stuff, you must go there some time... Well tomarrow we are celebrating my son Cagney's 16th birthday and he wanted to bring five friends with us up to Universal city walk, all the shops and have dinner at Rock Cafe'' with everyone and family... Sounds fun, and exspensive... Oh and his uncle Garrey (the one he stays with in the summer and works for) gave him a car for his birthday... A 98' ford escort wagon... That's one lucky boy, but he is an absolute angel and he deserves it, (now he just needs to get a lisence...
First off I emailed my address to all who joined my Valentine paper doll swap. If you did NOT receive it please email me... I have been making fabric beads and then embellishing them with seed beads. Here are a few pictures of the one's I made last night. I like the heart, the texture is great, and I love the one that looks like a dounut.
I'm gonna play with making more but in different shapes and colors. And look at my new bride and groom vintage babies, so cute....
And all the fabric, trims in the background are a new find too....
I love it when creativity just flows thru your mind, consuming every part of it until it pops out into your hands, hands that have to start making something or they will seise to exist.
Then once they start to create something an overwhelming sense of satisfaction consumes your body, your mind, your soul....Than fulfillment of the need to create is so awesome that you can't help but smile and be happy and content......
I uploaded a few photos of one of my jewelry boxes full of my celloid charms and such.... The last photos are of my needle case, it was actually an old ugly one I found at the thrift store, did not like the fabric so I painted it black, the head on it was soooo ugly, so I dismantled it and put on a cool looking one, a little bead here and there and she was complete... Not perfect, but she's so like me, I love her...
I guess I felt better enough to stop by my local antique mall and look at the lovley beauties wanting to come home with me, they all look so good together.. The blue vintage photo album and the inside pages are sooo beautiful, a fun hat and a metal basket like purse. (I have found two others like this so I guess I'm starting to collect them) My shopping need was fullfilled, thank you universe....
The Valentine paper doll swap I'm hosting is going well, I ran across this picture from over a year ago of paper dolls of me I had to make for a swap with Creative Underground, so I just thought I would share the photo. Since I shared my Charm bracelet I got for Christmas from my hunny, I took a few more pictures of a few other charm bracelets, and just one of the drawers full of sterling charms waiting to be used... Please don't drool on the computer screen.
(have more bracelet and charm photos I will share too, soon)
Merry Christmas, Happy New Year and
anything else I've missed. (lol) Sorry I haven't posted in a while, (since Dec. 23 to be exact) Believe it or not I was sick the WHOLE time I didn't post, the dang cold had a good hold on me and would NOT go away and I was physically exhausted. It took all the energy I had just to take care of the kids, with dinners, lunches and laundry and such. I finally started feeling a little normal on Saturday. But then with all the rain my bones were aching sooo bad (cuz I've broken over 20 of my bones in my body) The kids went back to school yesterday, so me and my doggy are just relaxing trying to get back in the routine of things. What I did while I was down was read ALOT of books, December is the month I buy alot of books, probably over $400 this month. (yikes) So I did get a bunch of inspirations and ideas running around in my head. (I will list all my new books soon) I did NOT do any art though, except for this purse I made on Saturday, I spied a stack of stuff sitting on my shelf and it was calling to me to make it into a purse, so I listened. I like it... For Christmas my hubby got me this Sterling Silver Charm Bracelet (he is sooo sweet) I know he spent alot $100 alone just on the engraving, but it is so special. There is a house charm and he had it engraved with the address of our first home we owned together, a church charm that opens (for where we were married), a dog charm of my sweet Coca, a cell phone charm that opens, a deck of cards cuz we like to go gambling at Pechanga on our dates, AND THIS CHARM SURPRISED ME THE MOST, a effiel tower charm, and he said for when we go to Paris, and this made me squeel in delight cuz I have been wanting to go there and he told me to go with a friend, but now I KNOW he says he will take me!!!!, okay the next charm was a love letter, a crown (cuz he calls me princess) a nascar charm ((cuz my hubby is a BIG time Nascar fan, a motorcycle (our new favorate thing to do together is go for a motorcycle ride) and the last charm is a heart on one side is engraved "Terry Loves Tammie" and the other side says "Merry Christmas" 2007..... This was the perfect gift from him (and of course he got me tonz of other things) he so spoils me. I am soooo blessed to have such true love... The boys got everything they wanted for Christmas and were very p
leased, so besides being sick, this Christmas was awesome. Oh here are a few of my pictures of my Hello Kitty jammies I got from hubby, too cute....
I am still a kid at heart...
