Happy Halloween.....

My_crap_310 My_crap_316 My_crap_311Wow can't believe it's Halloween.  I hope everyone has a happy and safe one...  I started to take pictures of stuff I made and bought while at Artfiberfest.  Then my battery's wore out and I finally got new ones...  The vendor nite was fun, I bought some cool stuff and traded with some talented artists.  The felted bracelets and heart w/ wings pin are made by Mary Stanley.   My_crap_314 My_crap_312I was lucky enough to get the last three beads made by Alma Stroller and a pretty fabric flower.  I wish I had taken that class, but I was jazzed.  I got this cute red velvet box from the antique store along with the celloid babies and treasures.  I did take Pam Garrison's class and here are a few pictures of the front of the fabric book I made, I haven't put in the pages yet though, but I love how it turned out...  My_crap_327  I so want to go to this Art Nest Retreat in Feb. with Pam Garrison, Anahata Katkin and Amy HannaMy_crap_329_2 , but I had to go promise my honey no art retreats and stuff for a year.  Dang it looks so fun..  But that means I will have more vacations with the family and that definetly is a plus.  More Artfiberfest pictures soon.....My_crap_330 My_crap_332 My_crap_319 My_crap_323

By Tammie Moore Sat. Nov. 3rd.....

This is a three hour class

Cost: $60.00

Since the teachers first Resin class she taught, she has continued playing and trying different types of resins. So in this class she will introduce you to a NEW Fast Setting Resin.... There are dyes for every color imaginable. The "colored" resin sets in just FIVE MINUTES... The "clear" resin sets in less than an hour. The teacher has over fifty charm molds for the students to use during class. You may bring one 3-D charm to class and the teacher will give you a two part silicone putty to make a mold with. She will demonstrate how to make a mold out of bigger objects like a carved bangle, and she will show you how to do different layers and how to embed objects into the resin. If you took the first class and loved it, then this one you will absolutely LOVE... If you didn't take the first class you may certainly come to this one. (Attending the first class is not necessary to take this class) You will leave class with a handout and several charms you have made with the resins and an abundance of new information and suppliers. Please bring your basic tool kit of a ruler, a pencil, scissors, awl, glue stick..

PICTURES OF MY TABLE w/ treasures for sale at Artfiberfest....

My_crap_297 My_crap_298 My_crap_299 My_crap_301 So these are photos of my table with treasures for sale on it, at the most awesomest Artfiberfest..My_crap_300  It was fun, it's so honoring when people fall in love with My_crap_302 something you made from your own heart....  Then here is a picture of me and my most swMy_crap_304 eetest friend, Sue Lieberman...  She lives down by me, but I didn't know she was coming, so it was a nice surprise, we went out a few nights and had some wonderful dinners (thanks Sue, you rock girl)  The next picture is one I took while waitiMy_crap_307 ng to get on the ferry back to seattle...  Okay so I never thoMy_crap_015 ught the fires would be any where near me, and guess what they are, they are just over the ridge from us.  It crossed from the Orange County line to the Riverside line, so if it keeps coming towards us, it could catch "horse theif Canyon" which is pretty big neighbor hood, and if it goes thruogh that then it would cross the ridge and be heading right towards are house exactly...  I'm staying pretty hopeful that it won't come to us, so I'm not worrying, the time I will start worrying is if Horse theif canyon catches on fire, than we could be in some problem.  So pray for us and everyone out there who has lost their homes, for the firefighters to be safe and for God to put these fires out.  Amen....

I'm home from Artfiberfest....

My_crap_295 My_crap_296 Wow what a trip....  It was soooo much fun, but so physically exhauMy_crap_306 sting for me...  It was raining the whole time, so My_crap_292at My_crap_291 every bone I've ever broken it ached bad, then my fibermalagia, so other than my physical pain, I had SOOOO O much fun, it was really kinda small and intimate...  The classes were so fun and one on one, we learned sooo much and just had fun...  I went with my friend Angelica (there is a picture of us)  I took a  class from Syd McCutcheon and the first two pictures are of the classes Scissors maidens.  Aren't they adorable.  Then I had a spirit pouch with Jana Newton, the picture is of her and her class sample.  (will take pictures of what I made soon, I promise)  And then in Pam Garrisons class I sat next to Syd McCutcheon and had a blast.  I never did take any photos from Pams class, but it was sooo awesome, I have the same tastes as hers, and she said looking at what I made and if she had to guess who made it, she would of never guessed me....   I had lots of fun shopping and just got my stuff I shipped today, so will get on it to show soon...  My hands are still betraying me, from working them too much (cuz I broke all my bones in my hands and had pins put in them)  But I am taking it easy....

Owls, and witches, and jewelry and stuff....

My_crap_232My_crap_218 Hi, I have been sooo busy, making tonz of stuff, it has been fun to say the least, here are a few pictures of a couple things I've made, my witches, a stuffed bird ornament I made, one of my paper dolls.  The next two photos are of the Owl Swap I was in.  This is what I sent out to Tara, I forgot to photo what I got from her, but she posted pictures on her blog, some wonderful embroidered things, so cute.  Thanks Tara....   Here are two more necklaces I've made, a witch one and a face one.  I sent the face one off to "sweet" Gina as a hostess gift for hosting a halloween swap.  Can't wait to get my goodies back from that.  Oh I was delighted on Thursday to come home and find the new issue of Teesha's, Art & Life Zine. My_crap_150 My_crap_149 It is awesome, and to my delight I found two of my paper dolls in it, (I sent them to her in with my last payment for Artfiberfest, )My_crap_169 My_crap_197 The owl picture is of course one of Teesha's journal pages, and ohhh look at the photo with all the drawers (they are Nina's My_crap_190 My_crap_192 and Lynne's) but there are several lucious photos in the issue....  So I hope I'm leaving ya all anticipating your copy.  Oh and over a week a go I received my copy of Mariee Idee's (the craft magazine from france) and I was not at all inspired by the newest issue.  (which is sooo unusual)  Oh well
