For mothers day my sons and my hubby took me to the Gem Show in costa mesa.  I actually got there and didn't feel so good so I didn't stay too long, but I got some good deals..

Lots of pretty colors of beads, and these all were a dollar a strand.  Unbelievable huh?...

Here is my new journal I decorated...  Love the pink paper I used...  It is made with rings and I put watercolor paper in it...

Look at these whimsical clay beads I found at Micheals, they will look good decorating the binding of my journals.  I've always have wanted to make my own clay beads, paint them with the glass paint that needs the kiln to dry.  Some day, but until then these make me happy...

Look at the colors of the things I picked up at Micheals this weekend, the colors are soo yummy....  The big beads were sold in the kids section they look and feel like erasers....

This is a journal I bought at Micheals, made by recollection.  I absolutely love EVERY pattern of paper put in this book, and it has lots of folders in it..

Okay now look at these....   I am soooo excited.  I bought a bunch of these excavated vintage glass candy containers from the 1900's.  I got them from the same guy who digs up the charolette dolls in Germany.  I am patiently waiting for them in the mail....

 

I have NEVER ever seen any of these before and I can't believe I won the auction...

So what have I been up to....  hurridly getting thru life dealing with a ramboncious 17 year old, who thinks he is perfect and knows everything, dealing with my dear hubby being home sick from work for over a week with a hurt back and a grumpy spirit...

I am always amazed how cool our senses are.  I love how we hear a song we haven't heard in years, and it can bring us a flood of memories, or how a scent can transport us straight back to a childhood..  A reminder to  take time to enjoy the little things...  And always remember to be happy...   HAPPINESS IS A CHOICE...  Be nice to people...

I have been very drawn to the bright colors lately.....  I've gone thru my massive bead collection and pulled out the brightest colors I could find...  I've been using black wire and making 'LONG' luscious "BRIGHT" necklaces....  and I can't stop

Having a very relaxed Easter, actually I am all alone at home right now, and that is VERY unusual...  My hubby was called into work at midnight, there was a fire at a abandoned hotel, so he was called in because they have to knock down a pedestrian bridge next to it, so he has to inspect it and make sure there is no damage to the streets.  Dylan is at a friends house, spence went with his aunt to his grandma's,     Quinnn went with his friends to church, so it's just little ol me, and the house is too quite, it's weird...  Below is a picture from the cemetary when we laid my grandmother to rest.  Had to get a picture of my four boys and my neice Jessica and my nephew JJ...

My baby has turned 17

Oh I can't believe it my baby turned 17 yesterday, yikes I'm growing so old....  Here is a picture of my beautiful son Quinn...  He had friends over for his birthday and it was loud and stressful but they all had a good time...  

I am soo very proud of him and love him soo very much...  Happy Birthday Quinn....

I have not been on the computer all week cuz he has been off for spring break...  Been very busy and creative lately...  (praise God)  I like the saying above, this week I've been focusing on our words to be lifting up each other and definetly NOT tearing down.

New magazines I've picked up...  I love the magazine "Mollie Makes" and I saw my friend Kelly post that she picked up a new magazine made by them called "Mollie Home" so I went to the book store to find it and yikes it was like $18.00, magazines are getting so exspensive, but yes i had to have it, it has artists studios featured in it.  and yes I loved devouring it...

also we made it to the Japanese dollar store in Gardena, haven't been there for awhile it was fun, everything is NOT a dollar anymore it is 1.50, (everything, everywhere is going up in price yikes)
